Welcome to A Rooted Life

Our story, Our Roots

My name is Annie and I am thankful you are here! I am a follower of Jesus, a wife, a mama of 4, and a teacher! Every day I am navigating typical to do lists, after school activities, tons of laundry just like the most of us, and messes around our home. My husband and I have walked through many seasons of growth, change, confusion, and goodness in our ‘almost’ 12 years of marriage. I have been a teacher for almost 10 years where as my husband has worked in different fields. But together, we have grown a passion for ministry. Our main ministry is home with our 4 children. Psalm 127:3 states “Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him.” We truly believe our children are from the Lord and it’s our job as parents to raise them up in the Lord and teach them how they should live (Proverbs 22:6). Beyond our ministry at home, my husband and I love serving at our church with the college ministry. It's a privilege to walk alongside students as they navigate school, relationships, boundaries, and finding their purpose in Jesus.

We love that you are here to walk alongside us as we are all trying to seek Jesus more and more in our every day lives!

Our foundation

A Rooted Life exists for women of all ages who want to be anchored in their faith and grow with purpose no matter what season they are in. Like it says in Psalm 1:3, we believe A Rooted Life is planted by living water, receiving our daily strength from God's truth, and remaining steady through the joyful and sorrow. Every day, we NEED Jesus to sustain us!

Psalm 1:3 "He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers."

Take the next step

Everyone has different goals they want to reach. For me, in order to reach my goals, it starts with being planted in Christ and seeking him daily. I specifically set aside daily quiet time to be intentional in prayer and scripture. I pray for The Lord to direct every step of my life and try really hard to quiet my heart and listen to what he is calling me to do- whether thats serving others, showing gratitude, or even be present at home with my children. Choosing obedience in every day moments is what I am striving for. Jesus is shaping me and growing me. And I know he wants a personal relationship with you too so he can do the same for you!

John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man stays in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit. Without me you can do nothing."

There is NOTHING that is Impossible for God!
