In The Waiting...

March 3, 2026

Is God tugging on your heart for something? Do you feel like you have been waiting and listening for The Lord to speak to you? Well, He is right there and has never left you!

Isaiah 40:31 - "But those who wait for The Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Psalm 27:14 - Wait for The Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord."

Ecclesiastes 3:11 - "He has made everything beautiful in its time."

Lamentations 3:25-26 - "The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord."

Selah...

Selah is the space between!

Between prayers and answers, between your grief and healing, between what may be you surrendering and a revelation.

Selah is NOT an empty space. It's stillness. The time to posture your soul to lean in close to God's whisper. He is listening to you. You may not hear Him yet, but He is there!

This is a time to fully give all of yourself to The Lord for him to do a work in you. For you to draw near to God.

In my season...

I don't know about you but I have been in a waiting season. Just waiting to see if God is going to use me in different ways and if so, what are those ways.... I'm Waiting to see if where I currently am is where God wants me to be. Not because I don't like where I am at, in fact, I do. I love what I get to do every day. I love my family and our home. I love our church and the amazing friends we have in our lives. I just truly want to be obedient and follow the path The Lord has for me. But, I still feel like I can be doing more and I am waiting on The Lord to open doors.

Maybe you don't like your current season. You are struggling with family, work, direction, finding your passion and you're just ready for that next adventure...

I truly believe God has something amazing for you. Sometime maybe you aren't even expecting. Maybe you just need to "be still" before The Lord, fully open your heart and surrender to Him. If you haven't done that yet, I encourage you to do so. I was listening to a song this weekend and a line hit me.

"If that highest place I reach is at your feet, Then I've done it all" (SEU Worship: What a God)

and it wrecked me. God wants us! As we are. We can come to him broken, he will be there!

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!

How often do we just rush through life expecting God to answer all these questions we have but we aren't slowing down long enough to quiet our hearts and LISTEN to him speak? We want answers but are we giving him our time? Our hearts?

Where is God wanting you to PAUSE?

Growth

Growth happens in the pause; in the reflection, in the waiting. SELAH!

Waiting can be uncomfortable. Maybe you feel the Lord calling you to let things go, close doors that need to me closer, remove negative energy around you...but waiting is NEVER wasted. God works deeply in the still places in our hearts. Selah gives weight to the promises God has for you and me.

When you find yourself in a season of waiting consider it your Selah. It's not a delay, it's not because you are unworthy of answers, or forgotten about. God's timing is always best. We must be still, quiet our hearts, and let God's truth settle deep into our souls. He is who gives us rest.

One way that I have been focusing during my SELAH season is through:

Sitting (in a quiet place of worship).

Engaging (where I read, write, and journal). Listen (be still and listen to God).

Apply (take what I am hearing from the Lord and apply it to my daily life.

Heart (let him work in his time and his way).

God's NOT done with you. He's given you breath in your lungs. You are mean't to be here. You are known, you are worthy, you are loved, you are not forgotten about! God is with you always.

Through this waiting time in your life, I believe and pray that your strength will be renewed. That you will have courage that you never felt you had. And that you never forget that God makes everything BEAUTIFUL in His Time!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for loving us! Thank you for always being there as someone I can count on. I pray for everyone in a season of waiting that they can be still and fully trust your will and timing for their life. That they will worship why they are waiting and know that what you have for them in the waiting is far better than what they can give themselves in any situation. Guide our hearts to be more like you every day!

We love you, Amen!

"All the nations you made will come and bow before you, Lord; they will praise your holy name. For you are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God.

Psalm 86:9-10
