Purpose

Jeremiah 29:11- "For I know the plans I have for you, declares The Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Proverbs 19:21- "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."
Romans 8:28- "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose."
Psalm 138:8- "The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever."
2 Timothy 1:9- "He has saved us and called us to a Holy calling- not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace."
Ephesians 2:10- "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

What's your purpose?
Do you ever wonder what your purpose is? If you are making the right choice on where you're supposed to be? Am I using my gifts and passions for myself or The Lord? I know I can't be the only one right?
I know the last 2 years as my faith has grown, my heart is longing for something greater than I can give myself... In the end, I am longing for Jesus. For Jesus to take complete hold of my heart and my life. I can't do life by myself. I need Jesus to take full control.

For the last 8 years...
We had our first baby 8 years ago. A sweet baby girl...from that day, my life was changed. My life was no longer just about me. It was now about taking care of a baby and giving her all she needs. As a mom, you realize how much you are needed in ALL areas. I love being a mom but eventually I was wondering what my purpose is...what is my identity? Do I have something more to give? We start to plan out our lives, dreams, and goals we want for ourselves. When things go wrong we begin to question why... For many moments I have forgotten that it's the LORD that establishes the steps we take. Jesus knows us better than we know ourselves (and I thank God for that). How many of you have had a plan for your life and it didn't work out? Then another blessing came from it and you knew it was ALL GOD and you thought "Praise The Lord, what I thought was going to be better would have actually been much worse for my life." Jesus holds us in the palm of his hands. He knows our heart. He knows our purpose because he already has it for us. It's not in what we accomplish - it's who you are in Christ. You are a Child of God. When you seek him, when you are rooted in him faithfully, His plans for you unfold in a way only God can do.
We are called to surrender to God, love him with our whole hearts and his purpose for us will prevail. He works for THE GOOD of those who trust in HIM. He wants to give you the desires of your heart.

A purpose only God can give...
God has a purpose for your life that is magnificent. Something so good that you might not even realize it (right now). Like it says in Jeremiah "his plans are to prosper you, not to harm you and give you hope and a future." Listen, we have no hope without Jesus. He is the giver of life, love, grace, mercy. We fail daily yet God shows up time and time again FOR US to follow him.
So, maybe you're in a waiting period of finding your purpose for your life...I encourage you to surrender to The Lord, be in steady prayer, and trust God's timing! He works all things out when you stay rooted in Him.
You were created BY GOD for a purpose! You are not behind, you are not forgotten.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for always showing up for me. Thank you for creating me with Purpose. I give you my whole life. I surrender it all to you. I know that you are our only hope and that your purpose for my life is far greater than what I can give myself. I trust you and I love you!
In Jesus Name, Amen!
